May 13, 2018 | Robinsons Galleria Cebu | Assembly: 4am Gun Start: 5am

Wow! What a day it was! 2614 registrants of all ages and over 200 volunteers converged on Robinsons Galleria to walk, run and help in the Citrineland Corp. Run for Gift of Life. What a fitting time that we all celebrated Mother’s Day by doing something that would be the best gift any mother would wish for – a second lease in life for children born with congenital heart defect.

As the organizers, we faced many challenges and we worked hard to surmount them. It wasn’t perfect and we’re grateful for the patience and understanding we received. We awarded winners for the men, women and children’s categories and we gave away loot bags, discount coupons and even a pair of expensives Lezyne Micro GPS watches. No doubt many of us left the venue feeling like winners But you know, the real winners are the many kids who will now have a chance to have their life saving operation.

In the coming months, we hope to see many kids finally take their first steps without gasping. We hope to see children smile and glow in the pink of health. And we know we will see the happy faces of grateful parents knowing a burden in their hearts and minds have been lifted. And YOU played a key role in this! For the effort of one may not move an obstacle but the effort of a multitude can move mountains.

The members of the Rotary Club of Cebu and all the children suffering from congenital heart defect wishes to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for being our partner in this year’s Citrineland Corp. Run for Gift of Life..
